Very nice Craig! I'm fascinated by this rock and the several theories as to how it was created :p . It was the perfect subject for Close Encounters

Thanks very much Edd, I really liked going there and hope to make it back. It just had a special feel to it and the whole area there.
The Native American's each have their own legends about how it was formed or what it was. Mostly related to Bear's and it's claws carved the
Lines in the Formation https://www.nps.gov/deto/learn/historyculture/first-stories.htm

Wonderful! I love the sweeping wide composition and that upward point of view. Great colors and juxtaposition of textures from the rocks to the trees to the tower.

Thank You Hali, It was just such a neat thing to finally see in Person. I wished I'd been able to walk around the Base, but didn't make it !!!
